Music as a change of light
The right sonic transition tells a room when to gather, listen, eat or dance.
Sound shapes emotion as decisively as lighting. An abrupt shift from silence to loud pop music can jolt a room, whereas a thoughtful sonic journey guides guests effortlessly through the day.
Curate distinct musical chapters: intimate acoustic strings or neo-classical piano for the ceremony; warm Brazilian bossa nova or vintage French jazz for the cocktail hour; low-tempo soul and indie folk during dinner; and an energetic, brass-infused soul or vinyl disco set to open the dance floor.
Brief your DJ or musicians on pacing. The mark of a great music director is reading the room’s energy and building momentum without resorting to cliché party tracks.
